About Us
Shop Western MA is the first online store devoted solely to promoting products from Western Massachusetts. Owners Lynn Nichols and Don Krüger moved to this part of the world in 1999 for a better quality of life and to start their own business —
Starstruck Design, which specializes in web design and development, email newsletter production and distribution, marketing support and print promotion. Our friends and acquaintances also know us as the publishers of the email newsletter and website
ValleyViewpoint.com.
Lynn Nichols was raised in Massachusetts, and attended Emerson College in Boston. She has lived in several communities throughout the state over the past forty-something years, but prefers life in Gill, a friendly rural town with a population under 2,000. Before starting Starstruck Design with husband Don Krüger, she spent twenty years in the corporate world working primarily for book and magazine publishers.
Though Don Krüger discovered the joys of Western Massachusetts later in life, he is a definite convert. Don's diverse background includes stints in hospital network management, optical wholesale and retail and web design and development. He is quite happy that his commute each morning only involves walking downstairs to his home office.
