Creating on the Potter's Wheel
with Tiffany Hilton (8 weeks)

Enjoy using the potter's wheel! Focus will be on functional pottery using high-fire stoneware and glazes. Students will learn throwing skills that cover the three basic forms: bowls, cups and plates. There will be time to develop form, technique, and experience glazing and firing your work. This class is designed as a multilevel ceramics course, welcoming beginners as well as more experienced students. The instructor will give individual attention and demonstrations during each class. Students will have additional access to the studio Monday through Friday and Saturdays 9-12 .
About Tiffany Hilton: Ceramics, B.S. Fine Arts/Art History, State University of New York, New Paltz; Master of Library Science, Long Island University. Ceramic teaching experience includes, Snow Farm, Amherst Community Arts Center, various workshops and private lessons over the past 12 years. Tiffany has established her own pottery business since 2005 and enjoys sharing her passion for clay with others in the classroom.
